Get The Dirt On!

See soil in a new light with hands-on activities learning all about the layers that make up this important part of the Earth.

Soil, mud, dirt – what is it made of and why is it important? Did you know it can be recycled?

With a series of interactive demonstrations and crafting activities find out more about soil, the most important part of the Earth.

Meet the researchers who will show you how you can ‘build’ new soil from old building waste, creating new ‘recipes’ with ReCon Soil researchers to help recycle rubbish into useful material and join plant science researcher, Chloe Betts to take part in seed planting activities.

Need-to-know

These activities are free but booking is essential. Participating in Get the Dirty On! is free, however, you will need to purchase entry to the Eden Project (adult tickets £32.50 and child tickets £11, visit edenproject.com to purchase tickets) to take part.
